Leather care & maintenance

Vegetable tanned leather is such an incredible material that with a little bit of maintenance it can last a lifetime. The best things you can do for your bag is to keep it clean and condition it regularly.

It is important to keep the leather clean and to clean it before you apply any conditioner. If you use your bag regularly (which I hope you are) you should be doing so once a month by going over it with a cloth or brush to remove any dust. For a deeper clean you can use a damp cloth or a natural leather cleaner and let the bag air dry before treating with any conditioner.

After your bag is clean and dry it is time to condition it. Conditioners help nourish the leather, replenishing the fat, oils and waxes in it. The conditioner will also create a thin barrier to help protect the leather. Apply by placing a small amount on a cloth or sponge rubbing it in gently and allowing it to absorb. This should be done every other month after cleaning.

Taking care of your bag will allow you to enjoy it for longer, keeping it looking its best and extending the life of the leather.
